NNPP Governorship Candidate Denies Stepping Down For APC In Ebonyi State

The Governorship Candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in Ebonyi State, Dr Sunday Adolawam has debunked the statement that he has collapsed his party structure to support the Governorship Candidate of All Progressive Congress APC, Mr Francis Nwifuru in the forthcoming elections.

 

Dr Adolawam made this clarification in a statement released through his spokesperson, Mr Victor Uraku in  Abakaliki the State Capital, Southeast Nigeria.

 

The National President of Izhi Nnodo Youth Forum, Ben Nwovu had said that Mr Adolawam had collapsed his structure in the Governorship race to support the APC candidate.

 

The Statement reads; ”The God’s Project Campaign Council of the NNPP in Ebonyi State sternly refutes the statement by  Ben Nwovu…Such claims are the handiwork of mischief makers who are desperate to play down the popularity of Dr Adolawam as a leading contender in the governorship race in Ebonyi State.”

 

It said; ”Dr Adolawam is committed to the welfare of the people of Ebonyi State. 

 

Dr Adolawam said; “Let me make it clear, I have not and will not step down for anyone. I am determined to contest in the governorship race in Ebonyi State, and I am confident of victory.

 

“My campaign is built on a strong foundation of transparency, accountability, and good governance, and I have the support of the people who believe in my vision for a better Ebonyi State.

 

Consequently, he called on the good people of Ebonyi State to come out en mass to vote for him, to make the State  one of the best in Nigeria.

 

“All Ebonyi people will be empowered in different capacities, therefore, poverty will have no place in the State,”Dr Adolawam promised.
