No one hopes for peace when there is no justice – Kogi Governor

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello says no one hopes for peace and unity when there is no justice as his administration will continually put the system of justice at the forefront to ensure that no person of any tribe is left out

The Governor represented by the  Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Wemi Jones stated this while addressing the audience at the annual event organized by Nigerian Post to mark Kogi at 32 in Lokoja, the state’s capital.

He declared that he has painstakingly presented people of all tribes from Kogi East, West and Central to be at the helms of affairs adding that his style is the best because it brings peace and tranquillity to any State thereby eliminating all forms of rancour Justice is very central if peace and unity can ever exist not to talk of sustainability. It is the foundation of any peace and unity you can ever project”

Prof Olayemi Akinwumi the keynote speaker represented by Prof Musa Abdullahi who affirmed that development planning is the life of every State, lauded the efforts of Governor Bello for initiating projects and “Neighborhood watch’’ as well as to sustaining the security architecture of the State.

According to him, there is always room for improvement.

The Nigerian Post headed by Mr Michael Abu organizes an annual lecture to mark the creation of Kogi state, where the sustainability of the state is discussed and awards are given to prominent people who have made noticeable impacts in various sectors.
