In this interview with Potpourri, she talks about her music, ministry, lifestyle and life in general.
Who is Minister Queen Nzeh and how has the journey been?
I started following Jesus at an early age and discovered my passion for music. Drawing inspiration from my personal life’s experiences, I began writing songs that were inspired by the Holy Spirit. From Fear to Faith, from Condemnation to Grace, Queen’s lyrics beautifully convey an array of experiences which connect to her listeners in aprofound sense. Some of my songs include, I will not Fear, My Everything, EbubeDike, Your Mercy and the latest one, This Year.
Having served in the choir for many years, I am presently the music director at my local church. I am a successful entrepreneur, a doting mother and a loving wife. My mission is to see Jesus glorified!

How long have you been into music?
I have been a chorister since primary school and have served in several churches as a singer, such as Church of God Mission, Firm Foundation Church, Iyama, Benin, Christ Chosen Church, Anigboro Benin, Our Daily Manna Worldwide, Ogudu, Lagos. Faith Assemblies of God, Newark, New Jersey and finally the Choir mistress of CPM Miracle Center in Lanham, Maryland United States.
Why gospel?
Gospel is the only song I know. I won’t tell you I don’t hear other songs but I can’t comprehend it the way I do gospel. Gospel songs have a way of setting me in the right mood. Everywhere I am, gospel songs are what I am known with.
You are about to drop a new song, can you tell us about it?
The song dropped already on the 31st of January. and it is called ” This Year”. It was born from the womb of Koinonia “Right There In My Worship Room”. I was singing other songs and asking God what message do you have for your children this year and the song came as a confirmation of what He wanted me to sing. There was no struggle, the easiest song I have ever done.Meaning the process was easy and smooth compared to other songs.
What’s the inspiration behind the new track?
This song is an expression of my gratitude to God for his wondrous works and an affirmation of my faith in Christ alone. It’s a danceable song though, it expresses the assurance of God over me that it is my time to accelerate in His blessing as originally planned from the creation of man. I am only taking possession of my inheritance in Christ as I dance and sing. This song is not limited to 2024 alone. Yes, an assurance, as I declare loudly that only good things are permitted in our lives, henceforth we attract God’s favor and experience heaven effortlessly.
Do you have any albums? If yes, what’s the title and how many tracks?
I Will Not Fear” ‘My Everything” “Ebube Dike”. Your Mercy” and the last single “This Year”.
I also have other songs but not an album but as singles.
What are some of the challenges you encounter as a Nigerian gospel artist in the diaspora?
Distance between my producer and I is a great challenge. The time difference is just not good for me.
Aside from music, what else do you do?
I have a fashion boutique that I manage abroad.
Can you mention three gospel singers you would love to work with and why?
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, because he is a true worshipper and his songs for me are a powerhouse and always spiritual. Minister Duncan Oyinka, because you can feel God’s presence with all his songs. Minister Mercy Chinwo because she also is a powerhouse for Christ.
How supportive is your husband of your music career?
My husband is 100% supportive of anything that involves the kingdom work.
Most times, people expect gospel artists to dress in some type of way; no trousers, no makeup, no jewellery, what’s your take on that?
My take is that salvation is personal, and your personal relationship with Christ is what really matters, nobody meets Jesus and remains the same but dress the way you want to be addressed.
Valentine’s Day is almost here, what’s your opinion on this much talked about Lovers Day?
Love is the highest command in the Bible but don’t take it out of context. Always remember your body is the temple of God .Love your neighbor as yourself. Mk 12vs30-31.
What are your plans for Valentine?
My husband and I always go out in the evening to a very good restaurant and spend some time together.
The year is still very young, what’s your New Year’s resolution?
My New Year resolutions are to walk/work with God, knowing Him more, get my music to that one person which God has planned to bless with my music, win more souls to God and also bless more souls.
What should fans expect from you for the rest of 2024?
More soul uplifting songs and outreach to spread more of the Gospels throughout the world.
