Captain of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Malomo Taofeek, is delighted with the team’s winning start to the Nigerian Football Premier League (NPFL) season.

After leading the Oluyole Warriors to a 2-1 victory over Plateau United in a Matchday one fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Malomo expressed his satisfaction with the result.

I believe it is a good thing for us winning the game today (Saturday) and we are taking this positive result to the next game against Bendel Insurance,” Malomo said to the media.

The soft-spoken skillful midfielder wore the captain’s band for the first time after he was officially named the new captain of the team.

He is confident that the team can continue their winning ways against Bendel Insurance next weekend.

Insurance are also a good team, but I believe we can get something out of it when we get to their home ground next weekend,” added the 3SC skipper.

NPFL pundits say Malomo’s leadership and positive attitude will be crucial to the Shooting Stars’ success this season.

The team will be looking to build on their winning start and challenge for the league title.
