The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, received the leadership of the Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation (NSSF) led by its President, Commodore Shettima Mohammed Shagir, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Discussions centred on the development of shooting sports in Nigeria, including grassroots participation, talent identification and preparations for international competitions.
Shooting sports remain one of the Olympic disciplines with multiple medal opportunities, and the federation is currently working on expanding the sport, through regional competitions and structured national programmes aimed at discovering and nurturing new talents.
