This is contained in a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations of NYSC, Mr. Eddy Megwa.

Although the management of the Scheme gave no reason for the change of venue, this is not unconnected with the recent security situation in Mangu Local Goverment Area of the State as the management of the Scheme has always made it clear that the safety and welfare of Corps Members remain its utmost priority.

The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang during the weekend imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area following incessant attacks that led to loss of lives and properties.

The move was taken to restore law and order in the affected communities after consultation with the State Security Council.
