The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed has urged the Corps members to accept their postings and prepare their minds to contribute to the development of host communities and places of primary assignment.

Ahmed disclosed this in his address to Corps Members at the NYSC Bauchi State Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, and likewise their colleagues at Plateau State Temporary Orientation Camp in Waye Foundation in Jos-South Local Government Area.

He advised the Corps Members in both camps to serve their fatherland with pride as good ambassadors of their families, institutions, the NYSC and avoid misconduct in their interactions.

Be law-abiding within and outside the camp. NYSC would not condone indiscipline and if you violate any of our rules and regulations, you would be penalized in line with the NYSC Act and By-laws.

“Always respect the culture and traditions of your host communities and adhere strictly to the NYSC dress code,”Ahmed said.

He advised them to also take advantage of the service year to maximize their individual potential and design a better future for themselves.

The NYSC boss urged the Corps Members to remain focused and diligent as they prepare themselves to be role models to other Nigerian Youths.

While giving the camp situation report to the Director General, the NYSC Bauchi State Coordinator, Mrs Daniel Yakubu said since the inception of the Orientation Course, there has been a strong synergy among the camp officials, while the Corps Members have also been complying with instructions.
