Ondo State Governor Supports Farmers To Boost Cocoa Production.

Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has flagged off two million cocoa and shade tree seedlings to farmers in the state.
He said his administration would continue to partner investors in supporting farmers with inputs and facilities that would make their work easier during this planting season.
The governor who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa said the exercise would expose farmers to the opportunities available to them on varieties of crops, livestock, planting materials and trainings on good agricultural practices.
Governor Akeredolu reiterated its commitment to rehabilitation of rural roads and also continue to create enabling environment for farmers in the state.
He stressed that government will not relent in releasing grants to relevant agencies as a mark of support to agricultural associations and warned land grabbers to desist from the state forest reserves.
Earlier in his welcome address, the commissioner for agriculture and forestry, Mr Olayato Aribo applauded Governor Akeredolu for his agricultural programs geared towards protecting and equipping farmers.
Representative of Olam food ingredients, Taye Ojeme noted that the two million cocoa seedlings partnership with the state government was to ensure Ondo state remain the leading cocoa producing state in Nigeria.
