The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive materials for Saturday governorship election in Osun State
The materials were distributed at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State in the presence of journalists, party agents, local and international observers as well as security agents.
The materials were sent to the electoral officers across the 30 local government areas of the state under heavy security personnel.
Addressing the observers, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Abdulganiy Raji said the ballot papers were coded in different colours for each local government in order to prevent electoral fraud.
He added that the result sheets were also customised according to each polling unit.
Some of the party agents and other stakeholders at the centre lauded INEC for the transparent manner in which the materials were distributed.
