Oyo NSCDC trains personnel on security enforcement

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command has commenced a 2-day training on security/law enforcement and the community for officers and men of the corps

The State Commandant of the NSCDC in Oyo State, CC Adaralewa Michael, while declaring the training open at the Abiodun Sandey Hall of the Area A Command of the Corps at Railway Quarters, Iyaganku Ibadan, pointed out that it is very necessary to train and retrain all the officers and men of the corps, in order for them to be ready at all times to tackle the security challenges facing the nation.

In a statement, the PRO of the NSCDC, CC Oluwole Olusegun, revealed that during the two-day training, over three hundred and fifty officers and men of the corps were trained in many areas of security operations such as Hostile Environment Protection, Executive Close Protection, VIP Protection, Customer Care, Executive Self Defence Training, Crowd Control Management, Defensive Driving, Security Surveillance, Security Journey Management and Security Strategies, just to mention few out of the number of courses offered in the training.

Oluwole said officers were drawn from different departments, including Crisis Management Department, Agro Ranger Unit, Counter Terrorism Unit, Anti-Vandal, Disaster Management Unit, and officers of the female special squad, who are on special training, in order to get them prepared for all forms of challenges in the course of the job.

During the closing ceremony of the event, according to the statement, Commandant Adaralewa enjoined all officers and men of the corps, who participated in the 2-day training, to exhibit the knowledge impacted in them through the aspects of training they had undergone.
