Oyo State Appoints Monarch as Chancellor of LAUTECH

The Oyo State Executive Council has announced the appointment of His Royal Majesty Ohna Awuse,  the Paramount Ruler of Emuoha Kingdom, in Rivers State, as the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho.

The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Olatubosun said the decision was reached during the State Executive Council meeting, held on Tuesday.

“LAUTECH will benefit from the rich experience of the first-class monarch as an administrator, community leader and a revered traditional ruler.

“The appointment takes immediate effect,” the statement reads in part.
