Oyo State Government Promises All-inclusive Administration

The Oyo State Government has assured political stakeholders from the Ogbomoso Zone of the state that it would continue to run an all-inclusive government.

The Deputy Governor, Abdulroheem Bayo Lawal, disclosed this, on Tuesday, when stakeholders, including appointees of Governor Seyi Makinde, local government chairmen and National Assembly candidates from the Ogbomoso Zone of the state, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

Lawal declared that the government of Governor Makinde would continue to be fair to all zones of the state, urging the stakeholders to rest assured of his (Lawal’s) commitment to fairness, equity and good governance at all times.

The Deputy Governor, who said he could conveniently claim to be an Ogbomoso indigene, expressed happiness over the congratulatory visit paid to his office by critical stakeholders from the Ogbomoso Zone.

He appreciated the governor for the opportunity given to him, saying: “This visitation shows that the good people of Ogbomoso, which formed major part of my senatorial district, are happy over this opportunity bestowed on us by Governor Seyi Makinde.” 

Lawal, who noted that the visit was the first of its kind since he assumed office, pledged to never take the support of critical stakeholders from Ogbomoso for granted, and promised to ensure that all hands are on deck to complement the efforts of his principal in bringing dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the state.

He charged the visitors to renew their efforts towards spreading the good works which the Makinde administration is facilitating in the senatorial district and by extension, the entire state.

A former Chief of Staff to the late former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, Dr Saka Balogun, who led the delegation to Lawal’s office, in his goodwill message, affirmed the support of the Ogbomoso Zone for the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration, stating that the appointment of Bayo Lawal as the Deputy Governor is well-deserved.

Those in attendance include the Chief of Staff to Governor Makinde, Segun Ogunwuyi; Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Cooperative, Olasunkanmi Olaleye; the Executive Chairman, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Dotun Oyelade and the Director-General, Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), Temi Adibi.

Others are: the former Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Alao-Akala, Rasaq Gbadegesin; Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Taiwo Adisa; PDP candidates for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire and Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituencies, Olufemi Onireti and Ojo Makanjuola and local government and party chairmen from the zone, among others.
