PDP pledges to restore peace, unity in Nigeria

The Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, has pledged to restore peace and unity in Nigeria if elected into office in the 2023 general election coming up on the 25th of February.

The Director General of the Atiku Presidential campaign management team in Kano state, Dr Yunusa Adamu Dangwani stated this in Kano state north Western Nigeria during the inauguration of the PDP campaign council and party caretaker committee of the 44 local government areas of the state.

At the ceremony held at the Meena event Center, Dr.Dangwani expressed confidence that the party will be voted into power in the next month election to restore hope to the nation.

Nigerians will vote massively for the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to restore the country’s hope by February”.

“So, the people of the Kano state and the entire country have no reason not to vote for the PDP, and they will demonstrate that next month,” he said.

Deputy National Chairman of the PDP Northwest, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo inaugurated the members of the campaign and management team including the party leadership across the 44 local government areas of the state on behalf of the National Chairman of the party, Iyorcha Ayu.

Chairman of the campaign council, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, vowed that his committee would do everything possible to ensure the party emerges victorious despite litigation hanging over its head.

The former governor urged “members of the council to embark on a door-to-door campaign”, adding that the party has all it takes to turn around Nigeria so that ordinary citizens would have a sense of belonging.

Shekarau, said the leadership structure is in synergy with the national campaign council down to the grassroots level.

This council, you are our ambassadors, our eyes and ears, you will oversee our activities in your various locations, you are the ones to represent us down to the polling stations,” he added.

The inauguration was attended by former Kano state deputy governor, Professor Hafiz Abubakar, former speaker house of representatives, Ghali Umar Na’abba, the state caretaker committee chairman, Alhaji Mai Adamu Mustapha among other prominent stakeholders in the party.
