The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Akwa Ibom State south-south Nigeria has announced Mr Okpolupm Ette of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the election into the Eket Federal Constituency seat held in the last elections on Saturday.
The declaration was made by the Returning Officer, Prof. Isongesit Solomon, at the INEC, office in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom.
Solomon, the returning officer for Eket LGA, Ibeno and Onna Federal Constituency declared Mr Okpolupm Ette of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 33,001 votes against Mr Eseme Eyibo of All Progressive Party, APC, who polled 16,909 votes.
