Peter Obi promises to tackle insecurity, close IDP camps

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has promised to tackle insecurity and close down Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp across Nigeria if elected as President.

Mr Obi also said that his administration would ensure that Nigeria feeds itself as it has all the potential to do so.

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate who was in Minna the Niger state capital for his Presidential Campaign rally stated that fighting insecurity is his top priority as a government that cannot keep lives and properties safe is not a government.

There would be no more IDP camps. Nobody will be killed in his country. We will employ all we can to ensure that this ends. We won’t take chances”.

“We will fight insecurity ,those terrorists are not more formidable than the government and when we get in we will ensure that they have no opportunity to operate”.

“We will use Niger state as an example that Nigeria can feed itself. We assure you that all the facilities that are dead across the state would be brought back alive,” he said.

Agriculture Development
The LP Presidential Candidate who said he will encourage states like Niger to boost agricultural development in the country , further said that he would wage war on power and unemployment.

Meanwhile Peter Obi’s running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed urged people in Niger State not to be swayed by the flaunting of money and unassured promises.

Peter Obi during his visit to Niger state visited the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Farouk Bahago, and had a town hall meeting with women where his wife addressed the women at the Legbo Kutigi Conference Center.
