Police to review operational strategies in Kaduna, Katsina States

The Assistant Inspector General, AIG of Police in Charge of Zone 14, (Kaduna and Katsina States), Edward Egbuka, says the Force will review operational strategies to ensure more success in the fight against crimes

Egbuka stated when he paid an official visit to the Kaduna Police Command to interact with its personnel.

“We will also review the zones strategies to ensure peaceful general elections, and also make sure the image of the Force is not compromised in any way,” he stressed.

He disclosed that the visit was to encourage the Police personnel on the good work they are doing in efforts to rid the country of crimes and criminalities.

The AIG mentioned that the personnel were sacrificing a lot to the service of humanity and their father land, hence, his visits to encourage and motivate the good work they are doing.

Egbuka thanked the personnel for their sacrifices to the state and nation in general, while assuring them of the Zone’s support where the need arises.

The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna Command, Yekini Ayoku said the Command is strategic with the much number of its personnel and 61 divisions spread across the state.

He however lamented various forms of crimes and criminalities, including kidnapping and banditry, which he described as the most worrisome bedevilling the state.

Ayoku noted that in spite of the challenges, the Command had worked diligently and doggedly in ensuring that the crimes were reduced drastically.

He solicited for more support from the AIG towards ensuring successful operations against crimes in the state.
