President Buhari approves special programme for 774,000 unemployed Nigerians
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the engagement of 774,000 unemployed itinerant Nigerians by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) under a Special Public Works Programme.
This was announced by the Minister for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN) through his Twitter handle @fkeyamo

The target is to make 1000 Nigerians from 774 local governments earn N20,000 for 3 months while performing duties in the area of; Irrigation, road maintenance, traffic control and so much more.
The programme which commences nationwide on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, will be spearheaded by the minister on behalf of the Federal government. All NDE state structures are already in top gear for the take-off ceremonies.
