President Buhari Presides over cabinet meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over a virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council, holding at the Council Chambers of the Presidential villa, Abuja.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan are among those physically attending the meeting.

Others are Ministers of Information, Lai Mohammed, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed and Justice, Abubakar Malami, among others.

Just before commencing the day’s deliberations, the President launched an application, codenamed ’Eyemark’, for monitoring and evaluating capital projects of government.

 

The Council also observed a minute of silence in honour of former Nigerian Minister of for Interior and Defence, Ademola, Rasaq Seriki, who died on Thursday December 15, at the age of 63.

Until his death, the late Seriki was Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain and the country’s Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization.
