President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hosted state governors to a Ramadan Interfaith Iftar dinner at the State House, Abuja, in continuation of his tradition of breaking fast with political leaders during the holy month.
The interfaith breaking of fast, which commenced at 7:00 p.m., marked the third consecutive year the President has convened governors for a symbolic fast-breaking at the Aso Rock Villa.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, joined the President at the Iftar, alongside members of the Federal Executive Council and the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

The Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma, led governors from across the federation, including Abia State Governor, Alex Otti; Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu; Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf; Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia; and Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru.
Others in attendance were Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu; Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji; and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo.The Deputy Governor of Bauchi State was also present.
In previous editions of the Iftar, President Tinubu has used the occasion to promote national unity and strengthen cooperation across party lines.

More Iftar gatherings are expected at the State House in the coming days as Ramadan observances continue.
