President Tinubu Mourns Ex Labour Minister Afonja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sympathised with the family of Nigeria’s ex Minister of Labour and Productivity, Prince Ajibola Afonja, died at the age of 82.

The President in a condolence message signed by his Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, commiserated with the Afonja family, the government, and the people of Oyo State over the loss.

Prince Afonja was a business mogul who served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Bank and was Minister of Labour and Productivity under the Interim National Government in 1993.

The late elder-statesman also served the nation in many other capacities, he deployed his experience to the development of the country, while he extended his means and essence to several philanthropic pursuits.

President Tinubu prayed to God Almighty to grant the departed eternal rest.
