A special session of the National Economic Council (NEC) is currently underway at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, which began at 16:00 GMT, is being presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In attendance are Vice President Kashim Shettima, the 36 state governors, and the Ministers of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, and the Federal Capital Territory, among others.
The session is expected to review current economic challenges and propose solutions.
NEC, chaired by the Vice President, is a constitutional advisory body that meets monthly to assess the economy and advise the President on economic recovery strategies, among other responsibilities.
