The Tinubu Support Network and the Amalgamated APC Support Groups have commended the Nigerian and international media for their role in the success of the presidential/ National Assembly elections.
The national chairman, Tinubu Support Network, and director-general, Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Mr Kailani Muhammad, gave the commendation at a media briefing in Abuja.
He said that the February 25, 2023 election will forever remain a day that marks the beginning of another dawn in Nigeria’s march towards the global democratic space.
“This is a day that will be remembered as the beginning of the reinvention of a template for the re-awakening and overhauling of the overall socio-economic and political architecture of our dear nation, Nigeria.
“I congratulate Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora on their conduct during the presidential elections,” Muhammad said.
He noted that there were skeptics who felt that the groups were backing the wrong horse, but they never wavered nor slumbered in their resolve to conquer the votes for their principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through collective, modest efforts.
“We are happy that our combined efforts have contributed immensely, and in no small way, to ensure victory for the main factor in this contest, the President-elect, the Jagaban, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s antecedents with its intimidating active profile should have sent the message that he is an equal among equals. But of course, this is democracy where the space is open to everyone.
“We have experienced very exciting moments, from the campaign grounds to the polling units, where the real action took place.
“We have come to the point where winners have been identified. We have arrived at a decisive pitch where the work begins,” he said.
The groups commended the contestants at all levels of the elections for their maturity in handling their supporters.
“We congratulate the Nigerian general public on their peaceful conduct before, during and after the elections, despite a few hitches here and there.
“The Tinubu Support Network and AMALGAMATED APC Support Groups sincerely use this medium to congratulate both winners and losers in this election.
“I borrow the wise saying of our able elder statesman and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, to tell Nigerians that there are no vanquished in this presidential election of 25th February, 2023,” said Muhammad, national chairman of the Tinubu Support Network.
The groups assured Nigerians that all will be well as the country enters a new era of good governance, security stability, economic rejuvenation and above all, an enabling environment for nationhood rebirth.
