A group known as the Remittance Beneficiary Group, RBG has made a passionate appeal to Nigerian residents in the United States of America to cast their votes for Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris, in the presidential election.
According to the Group her victory would strengthen liberal democracy not only in the US but worldwide.
Principal Messenger of RBG, Osita Okechukwu commended Nigerian US Community members who have already voted and encouraged others to follow suit.
He emphasised that their endorsement of Harris stems from her commitment to the rule of law, middle-class empowerment, and multilateralism – not racial considerations.
Okechukwu reminded the Nigerian US Community that their families back home greatly value the millions of dollars they remit annually.
When questioned about the limited impact of Nigerian votes in the US, Okechukwu stressed that every vote counts in such a critical election.
