Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens Target NWFL Premiership Promotion
The Head Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens, Jaiyeola Damilare, believes his side are in good stead to earn promotion to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership this season.
The Lagos-based team will compete with 11 other sides in Ikenne and Sagamu when the 2023 Nigeria Women’s Football League Championship kicks off on July 7th, 2023.

The Eletu Queens has been preparing with tournaments ahead of the season and Damilare, who guided the team from third-tier NWFL Nationwide to the second-tier league wants to go a step further by gaining promotion to the Premiership.
“Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens is really ready to gain promotion to the Premiership with the support of our able chairman (Kazeem Eletu),” Jaiyeola said on NWFL website. “We are ready and putting things and tasks ahead.”
“The team has prepared for the Championship with different tournaments. We won the maiden Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup and finished second at the Fly For Value Women’s Football Pre-season tournament before heading to Abuja for the Sheroes Cup.”
“Recently, we won the WAFA Pre Season tournament from our zone and confident that these games have prepare the girls well for the NWFL Championship.”
Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens will know its group opponents on July 7 when the draw takes place in Ogun State as the 2023 NWFL Championship will hold from July 7 to 14.
