Rangers appoints new CEO, masterplan unveiled

In a bid to reposition itself for the 2023/24 NPFL season, Barrister Amobi Paulinus Ezeaku has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rangers International of Enugu.

The appointment is contained in a release by the Secretary to Enugu State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.

 

Barrister Ezeaku just returned to the country after successfully completing studies and earning UEFA and FIFA Masters certificates in club management.

 

He was the club’s team manager when they won the NPFL and Aiteo cups in 2016 and 2018 after over three decades of waiting.

 

Speaking with newsmen in Enugu, Ezeaku charged staff of the club to improve their performances so as to help the club achieve its set target of becoming one of the most admired and followed club in the African continent and the world at large.

 

Sincerely, I am very happy to be in your midst, and with the caliber of players I see here with the quality of coaches on the ground, I am optimistic that we shall celebrate at the end of the soon-to-be football season,” he said.

 

Even as I don’t doubt your individual qualities I charge you to work as a team. Cooperate in everything you do so that we can come out tops in every match we play and at the end, success shall be ours,” stated the UEFA and FIFA Masters certificate in club administration, holder.

Masterplan

The Rangers CEO also unveiled 5 Strategic plans to ensure the Flying Antelopes return to dominance in the Nigerian football space:

  • Creation of Rangers foundation to help in the supply of football kits and equipment.
  • Launching of a supporter’s club movement with a target of one million members
  • Opening of discussions for International partnerships with brands and jersey sponsorship
  • Engaging in social media interaction both for supporters’ engagement and diversification of revenue sources
  • Revival of the feeder team and the setting up of a female team

 

 

 

He also noted that the governor has paid the contractor handling the renovation of the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium to ensure the team plays all its home games in Enugu.
