The Sokoto State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has formally inaugurated 23 local government coordinators to steer and drive the activities of the initiative across the state.
The inauguration ceremony, held in Sokoto, marked a significant step toward strengthening grassroots mobilisation and public awareness of the policies and reforms of President Bola Tinubu, across all 23 local government areas of the state.
Speaking during the inauguration, the state coordinator, Haruna Sarkin Adiya, described the event as a pivotal moment in the collective journey toward a renewed and prosperous Nigeria.
He charged the newly inaugurated Local Government Coordinators to serve as torchbearers of hope, unity, and progress in their respective local government areas.
He noted that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was designed to promote inclusivity, rebuild public trust in governance, and counter misinformation through effective grassroots engagement.
In a statement by the Renewed Hope Media Aide, Bashar Abubakar, Adiya stressed that the coordinators have a critical role to play in mobilising citizens and ensuring accurate communication of government policies and achievements.
Key Reforms
Highlighting key reforms and achievements of the Tinubu administration, Haruna Adiya listed major interventions aimed at repositioning Nigeria, including the unification of foreign exchange rates, fiscal reforms to reduce deficits and boost revenue, and the execution of major infrastructure projects such as the Sokoto–Badagry Highway, the Kano–Katsina–Maradi Standard Gauge Rail, and the Kaduna–Kano Rail Line.
He also cited social and economic programmes including the national student loan scheme with over ₦95.6 billion disbursed, the creation of over 240,000 jobs through micro, small, and medium enterprises, the 3-Million Technical Talent Programme, agricultural support through loans and fertiliser distribution, the decentralization of the power sector through the Electricity Act of 2023, social intervention programmes benefiting households nationwide, and the construction of thousands of healthcare centres across the country.

According to him, the local government coordinators are expected to embody the values of integrity, transparency, and selfless service while promoting grassroots development and social cohesion in support of government initiatives at both the federal and state levels.
In his remarks, the Sokoto State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isah Sadiq Achida, expressed confidence in the competence and dedication of the newly inaugurated coordinators.
He urged party members and stakeholders across the state to embrace unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility to ensure the success of the Renewed Hope Initiative and future political victories.
Speaking on behalf of the coordinators, Musa Adar assured of their collective commitment to teamwork, discipline, and effective service delivery.
He pledged that the coordinators would work closely with stakeholders to ensure sustained awareness and effective implementation of government programmes and policies across their respective local governments.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the APC State Executive Committee, the 23 elected Local Government Chairmen, youth leaders, political elders, party stakeholders, members of the press, and other distinguished guests from across Sokoto State.
The local government coordinators were formally inaugurated on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Sokoto State Governor Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the National Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and the Zonal Coordinator, former Katsina State, Governor Aminu Bello Masari.
