The Renewed Hope Public Enlightenment Movement has intensified its awareness campaign on key projects of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
During the launch of Phase 4 of the Public Enlightenment Movement, the coordinator, Nuhu Abdullahi, said the initiative was designed to provide Nigerians with factual and verifiable information on national developments under the current administration.
According to Abdullahi, Phase 4 builds on earlier stages of the campaign by highlighting major road, rail and energy projects that are enhancing mobility, trade and regional integration across the country.
He cited the ongoing Ilela (Sokoto State) to Badagry coastal corridor, spanning over 1,000 kilometres, describing it as one of the most ambitious concrete road projects in Nigeria’s history.
He also referenced road construction linking Gembu in Taraba State North East Nigeria to the Cameroon border, as well as the Adamawa–Fufore–Mubi–Cameroon border route, noting that, “these corridors had suffered decades of neglect before the current intervention.”
The coordinator further pointed to progress on inherited projects, including the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) gas pipeline, which he said “has moved from about 30–40 per cent completion to nearly 95 per cent under the Tinubu administration.”
He added that the Kano–Kaduna–Abuja rail line and the Kano–Maradi rail project linking Niger Republic are strengthening Nigeria’s position as a regional transport hub.
Abdullahi stressed that, the campaign is not limited to Kano State but is being carried out across all northern states, with the involvement of traditional media, social media influencers, entertainers and community leaders to ensure wide reach.
“We are taking this message to radio, television, newspapers, and social media, and we are expanding to the grassroots — down to states, local governments and ward levels — so that Nigerians can see these projects for themselves,” he said.
He explained that the movement’s goal is to encourage informed public discourse based on facts, while promoting national unity and appreciation of development efforts regardless of regional or political differences.
The Renewed Hope Public Enlightenment Movement announced plans to further deepen its grassroots engagement in the coming months, as part of what it described as a national effort to keep citizens informed and engaged in Nigeria’s development journey.
