Residents laud Federal Government road projects in Nasarawa state

The residents of Keffi Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, north central Nigeria have commended the Federal government for the pace and quality of the Keffi-Lafia road which is currently on going and expected to be completed in early 2023.

 

In an interview with Journalists, they said the construction company of the road project, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) is not only doing a quality work but is also being responsive to its corporate social responsibility to the people.

 

Also the people lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Works, led by the Minister, Babatunde Fashola, for his commitment towards the fruition of the road project that is of benefit to the people of the state in terms of economic growth and development.

 

A titled leader in Keffi, Mohammed Agwai, commended the CHEC company for carrying out its duties deligently calling on other construction companies to emulate same in their various locations of projects across Nigeria.

 

“We also have a message for the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola. He is doing a very wonderful job. We know this project would be completed and delivered to the people. We convey all our sincere gratitude to the government on how it has improved our lives,” he said.

 

Another leader in Keffi, Alhaji Sefiu Rafiu, who was also full of gratitude for the government said since the present administration started constructing the road, the residents have benefited in one way or the other as the construction company employed some of them.

 

“This road has been a nightmare for so many years. We had so many problems on this road. Congestion, traffic, sometimes the traffic lasts for a whole day. But we are happy now, this road is going on so fast, and we are happy with the government and the construction company. They are very friendly We have never had issues with them”, he added.

 

Alhaji Rafiu re-emphasized on the need for all construction companies in Nigeria to involve in corporate services in their various communities of engagement, most especially in the area of employment.

 

He appreciated CHEC for impacting positively on the Keffi community by employing their youths as most of their local workers are indigenes of Nasarawa State which has improved the economy of the people.
