Rights Activist Applauds Nigeria’s Government For Youth Empowerment

A child rights activist in Nigeria has praised President Tinubu’s administration’s promises to create an enabling atmosphere for the country’s young population to prosper in many sectors of life.
Dorothy Nuhu Aken’Ova, a prominent politician and renowned advocate for child rights and women empowerment in Nigeria, extended her warmest greetings on the occasion of World Youth Day, adding that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to equipping young Nigerians with the necessary tools to succeed through initiatives such as skill acquisition programs, entrepreneurship development, and education reforms.
Ms Aken’Ova Said that World Youth Day is a globally recognized event that aims to celebrate and raise awareness about the pivotal role that young people play in society, as It provides an opportunity to acknowledge their unique contributions listen to their voices and advocate for their rights and well-being.
Furthermore Ms Aken’Ova emphasized the importance of sustaining the efforts of the Government to ensure that Nigeria’s youth can effect positive change and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development by nurturing and harnessing their potential.
“I also encourage the youth themselves to take advantage of the opportunities available to them to seize their future and to be proactive agents of positive change because their dreams, aspirations, and achievements hold immense power to transform our nation and create a better world for generations to come,” added Ms Dorothy.
She further commended the efforts of organizations institutions and individuals who tirelessly work to empower and uplift youth across the Country.
“Their dedication and commitment to nurturing the talents and dreams of our young people deserve our support and appreciation. Together we can create a society where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
The renowned advocate for child rights and women empowerment in Nigeria, further called upon government agencies civil society organizations educational institutions and community leaders to prioritize youth empowerment initiatives and establish youth-friendly policies that foster inclusion equal opportunities and a nurturing environment.
The empowerment of youth according to her goes beyond providing access to education; it includes promoting entrepreneurship fostering innovation and ensuring their voices are heard and valued. By investing in our youth we invest in the future of our nation.

Dorothy also emphasized creating an enabling environment that empowers young people equips them with the necessary skills and promotes their active participation in decision-making processes.
