Former professional football striker, and former Head Coach of Nigeria’s National Team, Coach Samson Siasia has inspected the School of The Hard knocks newly constructed Turn-Back-Crime Synthetic Football Arena in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital.
Siasia who inspected the arena on Saturday, also commended the CEO of the School of the Hard knocks, Dr. Jerry Akubo for creating an avenue that takes the youths off the streets and makes them more productive.
Voice of Nigeria reports that the School of Hard knocks SOHK Nigeria is a mind re-orientation school that uses recreational events, talent discovery, and sports-based activities to transform the Psyche, Mind, and well-being of individuals whose primary targets are school children, out-of-school children, artisans, and persons exposed to, or afflicted by trauma, drug abuse, depression amongst others.
Siasia who was part of the team that laid The foundation for the football arena in April, expressed joy at the level of commitment to the initiative and stated that he was impressed by the outstanding achievement of the school.
Sports Initiative
Speaking earlier, the CEO of SOHK, Dr. Jerry Akubo thanked Coach Samson Siasia for making time out to be there for the school and reiterated his commitment to fighting crime through sports initiatives and building on the positive impressions and legacy of Coach Samson Siasia as one of the Pioneer Ambassadors.
Dr Akubo, who led Coach Siasia on a tour of the facilities including the newly completed Ultramodern Standard Astro Football Pitch dedicated to the TURN BACK CRIME Initiative also reeled out insights into the School Of Hard knock’s recent accomplishments and ongoing projects.
Voice of Nigeria also reports that the highlight of the visit was the commemoration of the one-year anniversary of Corporate United All Stars Football Club game which took place at the SOHK premises located in kubwa, Abuja Nigeria.
Dr Akubo led the ceremonial kick-off, to signify his absolute commitment and dedication to Sports development.
The match between Corporate United FC and Great Soccer Ambassadors FC ended in a 2 – 2 Draw.
