Former Gombe State Governor, Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje has won Saturday’s National Assembly polls for Gombe Central Senatorial District.
The Returning Officer for Gombe Central District, Professor Mustapha Mohammed, declared the result in Kumo, Akko Local Government Area of the State.
Professor Mohammed said “Senator Goje, under the All Progressives Congress, having scored the highest vote of 102, 916 votes, had been declared the winner and returned elected”.
He said Senator Goje defeated 10 other contestants, defeating his closest rival, Aliyu Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, who scored 37, 870 votes and Bibikir Muhammad of the New Nigeria People’s Party, who scored 1155 votes.
