Super Eagles of Nigeria and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen scored in each half as the Serie A champions were held to a 2-2 draw by Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy on Sunday.
The visitors featured Osimhen in attack, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Alessio Zerbin on the flanks. For Bologna, Marko Arnautovic started up-front while Musa Barrow and Michel Aebischer were on the wings.
Serie A’s leading goal scorer Osimhen struck in the 14th minute and doubled Napoli’s lead nine minutes into the second half, showcasing his great form in the 2022/2023 season. The Nigerian International has now scored 25 goals in the Serie A this season.
Bologna mounted a comeback in the thrilling encounter as they reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute through midfielder Lewis Ferguson. 2-1!!
In the 84th minute, the home side equalised after a header from substitute Lorenzo De Silvestri gave the fans in the stadium something to shout about.
The match finished 2-2 as the entertaining match came to an end.
Napoli have now recorded 87 points from 37 games in the Italian Serie A this season, with one match remaining before the curtains are drawn on Italian football’s top flight.
