Shooting Stars Target away win against Akwa United

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan will be looking to continue their winning streak when they travel to face Akwa United of Uyo in a Matchday four encounter at the Eket Stadium on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors have won two of their three opening fixtures in the Nigerian Professional Football League, while Akwa United have lost two and drawn one.

Shooting Stars midfielder, Ayobami Junior, said that his team is aiming for a win against Akwa United.

“As you can see, Akwa United are presently down on the log and they have changed their home ground to Eket, they are under pressure, we will also mount pressure on them when we get there,” said Junior.

Shooting Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote has named a strong squad for the game, and the team will be looking to get something positive out of the encounter.

Based on current form and the mood of the players, Shooting Stars could get a win against Akwa United.

The Oluyole Warriors have a better winning record than Akwa United, and they are also coming into the game on a high after winning their last two matches.

The trio of Oke Kayode, Anayor Ogbonna and Micheal Enaruna, who have all being part of the match day squad in the first three games, will play no part in Sunday’s fixture against Akwa United. Pyagbara, Adams, Gideon, Christian Pyagbara, Mustapha Adams and Gideon Monday could make their debut appearances for the Oluyole Warriors, having made the squad list to Eket.
The Ibadan side will file out in their new all white away jersey for the first time this season.
