The Sokoto State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Isah Sadiq Achida, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Aliyu for their second term, to complete massive developmental projects initiated by their administration.
Isah Sadiq Achida stated this while inaugurating adhoc-committees for monitoring and supervision of e-registration of party members across sokoto state.
He said achievements have been made so far by the President through his Renewed Hope Agenda in security, education, infrastructure, food security among others.
He described the APC as a party for all Nigerians and commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in repositioning the country for greater progress.
He applauded the president’s determination to make Nigeria competitive with other nations globally, particularly in human and capital development advancement.
“President Bola Tinubu has good intentions for the good people of this great nation, Nigeria.
“I pray that Allah continues to guide him to move Nigeria forward, making it better and more stable for the benefit of the present and future generations,” he said.
He stated that development cannot be achieved without challenges, urging Nigerians to understand and support the president’s good initiatives for the progress of the country.
He said the committees inaugurated include the State Main Committee, Senatorial Monitoring Committees, as well as the Publicity and Mobilisation Committee.
Achida noted that members of the committees were carefully selected as a results of their loyalty, dedication and commitment to the party.
He noted that the committees are saddle with the responsibility of supervising and monitoring of the e-registration exercise across three senatorial zones.
According to him, personnel have been trained on the e-registration process, while computer experts and enumerators have been deployed to ensure a transparent and hitch-free exercise across the state.
He said the initiative would provide the party with a credible and verifiable database of its members, strengthen internal democracy and enhance planning before and after the party primaries ahead of general elections.
Achida directed local governments party executives to inaugurate committees at the local level to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise.
The Chairman urged the newly inaugurated committee members to justify the confidence repose on them towards success of the process.
Speaking on behalf of the committees, the Chairman of Sokoto Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Yahaya Buhari, thanked party stakeholders for the opportunity given to them to serve.
He assured that they would justify the confidence repose on the committees for successful conduct of the exercise.
Isa Sadiq Achida will chair the State Monitoring Committee and Dr. Yakubu Maccido will serve as secretary, Alhaji Yahaya Buhari Chairman Sokoto Central and Barrister Bashir Jodi as secretary, Yusuf Maccido as Chairman Sokoto East and Barrister Bashir Gobir to serve as secretary.
Others are Haruna Abbas, chairman Sokoto South and Ibrahim Suleiman as Secretary and Sambo Bello Danchadi as Chairman Publicity and Mobilisation Committee while Bashar Abubakar will serve as his Secretary among other members.
