Sokoto Guber polls: Collation of results commence with 7 Local Governments

Seven Local Governments Areas have commenced presentation of their Governorship election results in Sokoto State, North West Nigeria.
They are, Binji, Wurno, Yabo, Isah, Gwadabawa, Tureta and Rabah.
The collation is holding at the State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Sokoto city, in the presence of party agents, security, domestic and international observers as well as Journalists.
In his address, the Sokoto State collation and returning officer, Professor Armaya’u Hamisu, Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutsemma Katsina State, said he is going to be fair hornest, dedicated and transparent in his job.
He noted that, he will be guided by his oaths and laws of the electoral process.
He called on the party agents and people of Sokoto State to remain calm as the collation of the election results will be done in a transparent manner.
Also, the National Commissioner of INEC, Retired Major General Modibbo Alkali, informed the people of Sokoto State that the electoral umpire is non-partisan and will remain apolitical in the discharge of its duties.
He said, “INEC will present the results the way it came without prejudice.”
Meanwhile, Sokoto city is calm and peaceful with the people expecting the outcome of the Saturday’s Election.
