The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged Corps Members and staff to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, gratitude and selfless service as Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his Eid-ul-Fitr message to the NYSC community, Nafiu said the significance of the season reflects ideals that are consistent with the vision of the Scheme.
He called on corps members and staff to remain committed to national unity, mutual respect and service to the nation, regardless of their diverse backgrounds.
According to him, “Eid-ul-Fitr represents a period of sacrifice, gratitude, peace, and compassion for others. These values align closely with the enduring ideals of the National Youth Service Corps.”
The NYSC Director-General said collective efforts toward unity and selfless service remain vital to fostering a more peaceful, cohesive and prosperous Nigeria.
He also prayed that the season would bring renewed strength, joy and fulfillment to Corps Members and staff in their service to the nation.
