Sokoto State Governor gets COVID-19 vaccination

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has taken the Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine.

The Vaccine was administered on the Governor by his family Physician, Ibrahim Tambuwal at Government House Sokoto.

Governor Tambuwal received the vaccine alongside his Deputy, Manir Daniya as well as other members of the State Executive Council.

Speaking shortly after receiving the Vaccine, Tambuwal appeal to Sokoto people to follow suit especially those that are vulnerable as prescribed by medical practitioners and Taskforce on COVID-19.

” It very important that we stay safe and secure, it is always better to stay healthy not to be running around looking for other support because I believe prevention is better than cure,” Governor Tambuwal said.

According to the Governor people should build more confidence on the vaccine as statistics globally showed that success recorded from the vaccine was higher than the problems encountered.

Although some countries encountered some challenges and stop administering the vaccine due to certain development during the process, but the successes recorded was higher than the challenges,” Tambuwal added.

Governor Tambuwal reiterated his administration’s commitment to sensitize the general public on the benefits of the vaccine for sustainable health development in the State and Country.
