Soludo Commends New Service Chiefs, Backs Security Reform

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs, describing their emergence as a crucial step toward strengthening the nation’s security architecture.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General W. Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke as Chief of Air Staff, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff.

The appointment of the new service chiefs represents a pivotal step toward fortifying the security framework of our great nation.

We have full confidence in the leadership, expertise, and experience these seasoned military professionals bring to their new roles at a time when Nigeria faces evolving security challenges,” Soludo said.

The governor urged the new defence leaders to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to addressing insecurity and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens across the country.

Reaffirming Anambra State’s commitment to national peace and stability, Soludo pledged continued collaboration with the Federal Government and the security agencies to tackle insecurity in the South-East and promote a safe environment for all.

Once again, we congratulate General Olufemi Oluyede, Major-General W. Shaibu, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas on their well-deserved appointments.

“We wish them great success in their new roles for a safer, stronger Nigeria,” Soludo said.
