Sorting, Collation Continues In Kano State

Sorting and collation of votes continued in some parts of Kano State on Sunday, February 26th, in Northern Nigeria.

This is in continuation of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections held across the country.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Kano hinted that the collation centre will be opened for the collation of results from the 44 local government areas of the State by 2 pm local time.

Voice of Nigeria reports that sorting and collation are still ongoing in Doguwa, Tudunwada , Ajingi and Albasu local government areas are still voting for their candidates to represent them at the green chamber and the Nigerian Senate.

Also, the Kano South Senatorial zone witnessed the late arrival of election materials on Saturday due to the distance of the local government from the state INEC headquarters.

While Voter apathy was expected a huge number of residents of Kano municipal were observed exercising their civic responsibilities as the election went on Saturday.

Also, commercial activities have fully returned to the city with the residents peacefully going about their businesses.
