Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised her husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he has served and helped people to succeed for the past 20 years before deciding to contest the presidency.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu stated this in Abuja at a meeting with zonal, state and local government women leaders of the party.
She was optimistic that regardless of the naira challenges in the society, her husband would win the election on February 25.
‘My husband has not contested an election since 2003. This year will make it 20 years. He did not just wake up and say it is my turn.
‘You can’t serve other people for 20 years and make sure they excel and don’t believe that you should take your own place.
‘This time is not a coincidence. When God says it is now, it is time.
‘They told us we are buying people to come to rallies. But God now said what I am going to do is to shut the heavens so that when there is no money, you will see my glory. Are we not seeing God’s glory?’ she claimed.
She urged the women to go to their localities to educate the people on the Tinubu/Shettima ticket, stressing that the APC presidential candidate was the best for the development of women.
‘This is the time for women to take control again. Take control of our homes so that we can build our homes and nation.
‘A Tinubu/ Shetimma ticket is your best option’ she assured.
She advised them to vote and monitor their votes until they are counted.
