Toto Community Commends President Tinubu for Appointing Ex-Nasarawa Speaker as Council Chairman FEDPOLY Damaturu

Communities in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have expressed joy on the appointment of the immediate past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as the Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Reacting to the appointment, the Executive Chairman Toto LG Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas commended President Tinubu for considering the former Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi for the appointment which he described as well deserved considering his vast experience.

We congratulate him for this well deserved appointment. He is a man of honour, integrity, full of wisdom and experience. This appointment is a plus not only to Toto LG but the State at large, and it is our wish and prayers that the appointment will open the door for bigger ones and more prosperity.”

On his part, the overseer Umaisha Development Area, Iliyasu Miryam described the appointment of Balarabe Abdullahi by President Tinubu as a plus to Nasarawa State. He expressed his optimism on the ability of the ex-speaker to deliver in that capacity and wished him well.

Also Speaking, the Chairman Umaisha Political Central Association (UPCA), Musa Usman said the people of the area are happy and rejoiced with the former Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi over his appointment. He urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his duties.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday evening announced the appointments of the governing councils and boards of federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in the country.

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State has the immediate past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as Chairman from Nasarawa State.

Four other members of the council for the institution include Abdullahi Hamza from Yobe State, Professor Ebenezer Okinanwo Ondo State, Adaobi Chidera Obioha Imo State and Mustapha Zurmi from Bauchi State.

The Permanent Secretary, General Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Nnamdi Mbaeri in a statement in Abuja said that the appointments was given by the President for effective management of Nigerian tertiary institutions across the country.
