Nigeria’s Electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says the Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs ‘for those who requested the transfer of their voting location are ready.
INEC said the PVCs of those who updated their information or requested for replacement of their PVCs are also ready.
A statement by the INEC office in Gombe said the PVCs that were ready were those who registered during the Continuous Voters Registration in 2021.
The statement said that all those concerned should go to the INEC LGA Offices, where their polling units were located, along with their slips to pick up their PVCs.
It emphasised that collection of the PVCs must be in-person, because by proxy collection was prohibited and would not be allowed.
INEC gave the assurances that all those who registered from January till date and those who requested for transfer, information update or replacement of lost/damaged PVCs within the same period, that theirs would be ready for collection before the 2023 General Elections.
