The U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, marked their 20th wedding anniversary with heartfelt tributes to each other.

This week has been doubly significant for the couple, as Trump assumed the U.S. presidency for a second term on Monday and now celebrates two decades of marriage with Melania.

Trump honored the occasion with an emotional post on Instagram, sharing a throwback photo from their wedding on January 22, 2005.

The post has garnered over one million likes and numerous congratulatory messages from fans and supporters.

He wrote: “Celebrating 20 years with my beautiful wife and our incredible First Lady, Melania.”

“You’re an extraordinary wife and a wonderful mother. Happy Anniversary, @FLOTUS!”

On her part, the First Lady also shared a touching message in a video on her X page, reflecting on their marital journey together in the past two decades.

Melania said: “There was an undeniable spark. There was something magnetic about him— his confidence, his charm, his humour, his vision.”

She went on to describe their 2005 wedding as a “beautiful affair” that featured her breathtaking Dior gown.

She added, “It was truly a day to remember.”

Trump and Melania’s love story began in 1998 when they met at a party in New York City. At the time, Melania was an aspiring model, while Trump was a prominent business mogul.

Despite a 24-year age difference, the two quickly connected, and their relationship has stood the test of time, weathering both personal and professional challenges.

Their January 2005 wedding was a lavish affair, attended by celebrities, politicians, and business leaders.

Melania’s stunning Christian Dior gown, adorned with 1,500 crystals, became the centerpiece of the event, solidifying her status as a fashion icon.
