United Kingdom sports out fit, Anchor Sports has arrived Nigeria to scout for talented youths in the field of football.

The talent hunt is slated to commence on the 12th of March.

Nigeria’s director of the firm, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, made this known during press briefing held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano state northwestern Nigeria.

He said considering the number of talents that God blessed Nigeria with in the field of sports especially football, the firm decided to chip in, in order to give chance to those that the eyes of the world can’t see well.

Basically, our aim is to select the best that will make us proud in the upcoming world players search (FIDO 2022) in Switzerland.

” FIDO is an international conglomerate that is organizing talented players display and give coaches and representatives of reknown clubs chance to select or recruite for their teams” Oladimeji added.

According to him, they are interested in taking 24 players to the FIDO event that will come up May this year in Switzerland, but players have to pass through rigorous screening by certified coaches.

The search will commence on 12 & 13 of March 2022 at the sports Arena of Bayero University Kano new site and it’s free for either teams or individuals who show interest.

We purposely select Kano to host the search because of youths that are kinly interested in football in the state and it’s in strategic position to recieve candidates from other states of the federation.

” The age range of the player must be within 17 – 21 years, it’s absolutely free from the search down to the traveling to Switzerland for FIDO event. We have received a number of calls from Lagos, Delta, Abuja, Kaduna etc to confirm participation”.

The programme which is a collaboration between Anchor Sports properties, Pyramid Sports and H & B is going to be the biggest talent search taking place in northern Nigeria.
