United Nations Tourism conference to unite cultures

The United Nations World Tourism Organisations are planning events in Lagos Nigeria, to bring the world together to enjoy the top history of various cultures and learn about them.

This is according to the Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa, Dr Bobby Moroe in Lagos,

at the ongoing United Nations world tourism conference at the National Arts theatre.

“If we don’t learn and understand each other’s culture we will not appreciate one another”

The Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa applauded the ministry of information culture and tourism for playing a great part in promoting culture and tourism among countries,” Dr Moroe said.

He expressed delight to be part of the conference, believing the summit will bring different cultures together under one roof.

Another delegate from Spain, Mateo Haas said Spain is delighted to be at the UNWTO, noting that Madrid is the headquarters of world tourism organisations.

“I am glad that efforts are being made here in Nigeria to promote tourism

Hopefully, the conference will attract investments from Spain to Nigeria and Nigeria to Spain regarding tourism,” Haas said.

The three days event, which began on Monday, had in attendance, top government officials in the tourism, culture and creative industries and various diplomats from all over the world.
