According to Manasseh, the media is key to the agency’s attainment of the UHC by 2030 because journalists as serve as gatekeepers in the dissemination of information to the public, especially those in hard-to-reach areas.

He said for the agency to attain its 2030 mandate, the media was imperative in the creation of awareness as enrollees would benefit from the scheme through jingles, news reports, and news features.

Responding, Mrs Ayuku Pwaspo, the Chairperson of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau chapter, assured the management of PLASCHEMA, of the journalists’ unflinching support in disseminating information towards reports attaining its 2030 mandate.

PLASCHEMA was established in 2019 with the sole mandate of ensuring access to affordable, equitable, timely, and quality healthcare, with financial security for all residents of Plateau State, irrespective of their socioeconomic status.
