A lecturer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Akure Ondo state, Dr. Ajayi Ademola, has commended the Government’s efforts to revitalize Nigeria’s economy through agriculture, describing it as a pathway to national stability.
Delivering a lecture at a sensitization campaign on the mid-term report of the Tinubu Administration in Akure, Ondo State, Dr. Ademola noted that government reforms have encouraged farmers to return to the fields.
“Agricultural productivity is synonymous with national stability, and today, farmers are going back to the farms. It is important to create opportunities for youth in agriculture because that is the way forward.
“The president has opened better pathways for Nigerian farmers, and the Renewed Hope Agenda has helped bring food prices to a more reasonable level while modernizing agriculture and expanding market access,” Dr. Ademola added.
He also highlighted improvements in the Bank of Agriculture, noting that reforms have enhanced access to funding and strengthened cooperatives across the country.
According to him, sectors such as oil and cocoa markets have witnessed growth, with Ondo State among the beneficiaries.

Mrs. Akinola Oluwafumilayo, Head of Centre at the Federal Ministry of Information, emphasized that the mid-term of any administration provides a defining moment to measure progress and chart the way forward.
“Since May 2023, the Tinubu Administration has undertaken bold reforms in economic growth, infrastructure renewal, security, and social welfare. We are here to share factual updates, foster dialogue, and strengthen the bond between government and the people. Governance is not the responsibility of government alone; it is a shared duty,” she added.
She also urged citizens to remain engaged, ask questions, and contribute ideas to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
Also speaking, Mrs. Jumoke Aborode, a representative of National President of the Female Artisans Association of Nigeria, praised President Tinubu and the First Lady for their outreach to women and persons with disabilities.
“Many people with disabilities have long been sidelined, but this administration has brought them into the limelight. In addition, several medical facilities across the nation have been upgraded,” she noted.
The sensitization campaign formed part of the government’s efforts to highlight achievements at the mid-term mark of the current administration.
