The United States of America’s Department of the Treasury’s Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing, Jonathan Burke is to visit Nigeria from February 23 to 24, to strengthen cooperation with the Nigerian Government on countering terrorist financing.
In a statement by the US Embassy in Nigeria, the visit is part of the Trump Administration’s efforts to reduce violence against Christians and other vulnerable groups.
During his stay in Nigeria, Burke is expected to meet with Government Authorities and Private Sector Stakeholders to discuss how to address risks to the financial sector and steps to strengthen and safeguards the sector.
