USAID-IHP sensitizes Ebonyi women on birth Control, Antenatal Care, others

The United States Agency for International Development USAID- Integrated Health Program IHP in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has Sensitized Ebonyi women on child birth Control, offered free medical care which include antenatal care and general body examination to men, women and children in Ebonyi rural Community.
The Integrated Supportive Supervisor/Quality Improvement Specialist in the State, Mrs Uduaku Okum disclosed this during the open Maternity service at Primary Healthcare in Omege Community, Ezza North Local Government Area of the State.
Okum said the free medical care is to improve on the general well being of the Ebonyi People especially the Rural- dwellers.
“We are here to give educative health talks, to do Antenatal Care, out patients service, examination, treatment and referrals.
“The people would also be educated on Nutrition all these would be free of charge,” Okum added.
The officer in charge of Omege Primary Health Center, who is also a Director nursing, Mrs Virginia Igwe thanked IHP for coming to save lives in the community.
Mrs Igwe also appreciated Ebonyi State Government for the efforts so far in ensuring that every Ebonyi person is healthy.
She however pleaded with State Government to increase the manpower in the facility for efficient healthcare delivery.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Omena Lovet on behalf of others appreciated IHP for the care given to the people of her community.
