The New Nigerian People’s Party NNPP Presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso called on Nigerians to take political parties’ blueprints as a yardstick for choosing leaders in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
Kwankwaso made the statement while attending the Jumma’at prayers in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital.
Also, Chief Imam Al-Habibiyya Islamic Society Fuad Adeyemi advised while delivering Jumma’at sermons that as the 2023 elections draw closer, the political class must have a fear of the Almighty Allah in whatever they do.
The Imam also drew the attention of Muslims and Nigerians to take cognisance of Allah in what they choose and how they choose leaders going forward.
According to him, the leaders and the led are responsible for putting things right in society.
He said, “As Muslims, we have to be doing things rightly so that the entire nation will be on the right path.”
He charged them to be their brother’s keeper in building a country of progress and prosperity.
“If the population of over fifty percent fear God, help others and promote others, definitely it will rub off on the entire nation,” the Imam added.
